Face to Face Wellness Visits

Our trained staff will make in-person visits to check on your loved ones - at home, in hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living, rehab, swing bed, or hospice. Staying connected and well-cared for shouldn't be a source of stress for busy or long-distance families. For many homebound or facility residents who receive few or no visitors, these visits offer vital care, connection, and hope. We provide complete peace of mind for families who live away or are busy working. Our Face-to-Face Wellness Visits are conducted in person by our trained, insured, and certified staff. Wellness visits are vital for safety, well-being, and emotional support and catch problems early and offer reassuance to both clients and their families.  

• What We Check For: Food, medicine supplies, heating, AC, cleanliness, grounds, and pets.

• Personalized Care: Accommodating special requests such as a shared prayer, bringing needed items, and arranging real-time photo or video chats with family or friends.

• Affordable Monthly Rates: Our standard monthly rate covers 4 visits per month, with the flexibility to add extra visits or services—including sitters and in-home care aides—whenever needed. 

• After-Hours, Night, or Weekend Visits. For unexpected situations or needs, face-to-face visits can be made during evenings, nights, and weekends to make sure your loved one has immediate, compassionate in-person support.  

Day, Night, & Hospital Sitters

We have experienced day and night sitters for patients for are in the hospital, nursing home, or their own home. Sitters offer comfort, support, and peace of mind. They’re there to listen, assist with small tasks, monitor for changes, and simply be present when family can't be. Whether it's keeping a loved one company during a hospital stay, making sure an elderly patient isn't alone through the night, or offering gentle help at home during recovery, sitters provide the human connection that promotes healing and reassurance. When a loved one is sick or recovering, you want to be there every moment—but life doesn’t always allow it. 

Home Care

Our in-home care services provide trained caregivers to assist with daily activities, personal care, and companionship. We tailor our services to meet the unique needs of each individual. Light housekeeping, meal preparation, bathing, toileting, errands, companionship and more to help clients maintain their hygiene and well-being. Our caregivers are dedicated to providing respectful and dignified support.. Services available 2 to 24 hours. With some specialized nursing homes now costing over $12,000 a month, our home care workers do everything possible to help people stay happy and safe in their own homes. We are locally owned with professional management, trained and caring workers, certified, and insured.

Non-medical home care and personal care focuses on daily living assistance, personal companionship, sitters, and peace-of-mind wellness check-ins. Unlike home health agencies, we do not perform clinical or medical procedures (such as administering medication or physical therapy), allowing us to offer flexible, client-centered care focused on comfort, safety, and personal support.

2. What areas do you serve?

Our primary service area includes Carroll, Grenada, Leflore, Montgomery, Holmes, and Attala counties in North-Central Mississippi. We are also happy to accommodate requests in surrounding adjacent areas—just give us a call to discuss your location!

3. Are services available on nights, weekends, or holidays?

Yes. We provide flexible coverage including overnight hospital or facility sitting, weekend companionship, and after-hours face-to-face wellness visits whenever unexpected situations or urgent needs arise.

4. How quickly can services or wellness visits begin?

Because Star Care is locally owned and operated right here in North-Central Mississippi—not a distant corporate franchise—we can usually act fast. In many cases, we can arrange care or a peace-of-mind check-in shortly after a brief initial consultation.

5. What payment methods do you accept?

To make managing care convenient for families, Star Care accepts:

• Private Pay / Direct Payment (Cash, Personal Checks, Major Credit/Debit Cards, Square, Cash App, Venmo, PayPal, Revolut, Robinhood, Zelle, Bitcoin, and other popular platforms)

• Long-Term Care Insurance (LTCI) (subject to policy verification and coverage limits)

Note: Non-medical wellness visits and sitter services are typically billed on a direct private-pay basis. Medicare does not pay for non-medical personal and home care, wellness visits, or sitter services; these services are provided on a direct private-pay basis or through qualifying long-term care insurance policies.
